I Painted Hannah Today

Hannah is the daughter of a good friend of mine
This is a studio painting that I just did from a photograph of Hannah. She really did not want her mom to take her picture. Both her mom and I just loved the photo; we can all identify with the raw and stubborn posture. I just love the transparency of emotion that are portrayed here. Kids are not good at faking things just to make nice, and bless them for that.

What a beautiful portrait! Great work.
Hi Lavanna,
What a superb portrait!! Love it! I think your skill in capturing the girl’s personality is masterful. I love the rich, vibrant tones of this work.
This is a very nice blog… I can see that you put a lot of heart on your posts, that’s why I’m sure I’d visit here more often.
I know nothing about art and painting! (Sorry for my english, I´m german). I like your pictures, maybe it´s because I worked for years in bars and cafés. So, I share your point of view!
from Hamburg: Max
Hi, Max.
Hello, to you! Ahhh, I would love to paint in some old cafes in Hamburg. Are you celebrating the Wall in Hamburg, also? I don’t know any German, but your English is very good.
I love the Title of your blog – wish I could read German!

Hey,
my blog is a little bit strange. I try my very best: there is a Radiostation “106.8 Alsterradio”. In the evening there is a programm on air, it´s like a Talkshow on radio. Eight people talk together. I just comment this. I split from the old blog. That´s why I started this blog. But I am not a really nice writing guy, so I am not longer allowed to call there. That´s the main theme. And I write what I see, what I feel.
I think very special about drugs: I gave up cigarettes but I didn´t gave up smoking!
The show is called Schnackline, in english…wait…OK. can´t translate directly. It´s the middle between talk and gossip!
Because of Washington Sniper John Allen Muhammad, yesterday they tlked about death penalty. Imagine, one guysaid he wants convicted man as a organ bank… ! For me it is impossible to stay calm and cool hearing Nazi- shit like this.
Many times I am shocked what germans talk. They do not even realize what these “ideas” are coming from.
And I can´t be quiet. People are talking nazi- bullshit or etc.: Max fights.
Why should I fly to Pelestine, Israel, China, ……..when I open my heart to my neighrbours I can learn enough about cultures.
Watching Hannah,
what I did the last days I ask myself, what she´s thinking of. She feels sad because there s a problem. Might just be new to her, but I can see Hannah knows there will be a solution.
I created a word for this: posimistic. This means positiv optimism. OK… creating this I was drunk! Happy weekend!

Hi, Max.
Do you have an opinion about the Trabant? I hear that it is making a comeback in Germany.
Also, Ahhh – love what you said about strangers being able to see things that the natives no longer notice. I met this Danish couple once that said that Austin was “dirty”.
Please tell me what your blog is about.
Thank you,
~Lavanna
